Afterburner Effect for FS2002 Concorde Version 2
************************************************

This effect will add all four afterburners to the FS2000 style Concorde model in FS2002. Also a new smoke system has been added to give the aircraft a more realistic look.
Included with this effect package is a toggle switch which is linked to the reheats so that the 'I' key is no longer required to activate the effects.

**********************************************************

Installation: -

1) Extract the three effect files to your main FS2002/effects folder. These include: -

fx_concburner1
fx_concburner2
fx_concsmoke

2) Extract the 'autoburner.CAB' gauge file to your main FS2002/Gauge folder.

3) Add the smoke points to your Concorde aircraft.cfg file. Your FS2002 Concorde may already have a smoke system (especially if you were using version 1 of the AB effects). These need to be replaced with the following: -

[SMOKESYSTEM]
smoke.0=-5,-86.00,21.00,fx_concsmoke
smoke.1=-9,-86.00,15.80,fx_concsmoke
smoke.2=-5,-86.00,-15.80,fx_concsmoke
smoke.3=-5,-86.00,-21.00,fx_concsmoke
smoke.4=-20,-74.00,21.00,fx_concburner1
smoke.5=-20,-74.00,21.00,fx_concburner2
smoke.6=-24,-74.00,15.80,fx_concburner1
smoke.7=-24,-74.00,15.80,fx_concburner2
smoke.8=-20,-74.00,-15.80,fx_concburner1
smoke.9=-20,-74.00,-15.80,fx_concburner2
smoke.10=-20,-74.00,-21.00,fx_concburner1
smoke.11=-20,-74.00,-21.00,fx_concburner2

If your Concorde Aircraft.cfg file did not contain a smoke system, then copy and paste the text above to the bottom of the Aircraft.cfg (located in your Concorde aircraft folder).

4) With this new version I have also included a toggle switch, so that when the reheats are activated (Shift+F4), the afterburners will light up. This switch is a gauge, and can easily be added to your aircrafts panel.

-Locate your Concorde Panel.cfg file, which can be found in your Concorde/Panel folder.
-This will contain many different panel Windows. Locate the main window (usually the one with the most gauges).
-To add the gauge to the panel window, copy and paste the text below.

*******************************************************

gaugeXX=autoburner!autoburner, 0,0,10,10

*******************************************************

-XX is the gauge number in the panel window. I.e. If the gauge above is labelled 'gauge50' change the XX to read 'gauge51', and so on..

I realise that this might be a daunting procedure for those who have never looked inside a panel.cfg file before. If you have any trouble at all, please contact me and I will try to guide you through it.

**NOTE** That you must first load the panel window before the gauge will work. I.e. If you load the aircraft from spot view - and hit Shift+F4 the effect will not activate because you have not loaded the gauge. The gauge will work once the window that the gauge was installed onto has been viewed.

Version History.

Version 1.00 - Simply a very compact smoke system in each Afterburner which will simulate the afterburners in their 'lit' state. At this point in time, I am looking into how this effect could be tide-in with selecting the afterburners on the aircraft instead of using the 'Smoke-system' to create the effect.

Version 2.00 - Rebuilt from scratch, the new AB system now looks more realistic and has an added smoke system for takeoff. Also AB toggle switch.
